Keenan Cahill is far from your average high-schooler. For one thing, he has overcome incredible adversity, suffering from a rare genetic disorder called Mucopolysaccaridosis (MPS-6) since birth. For another, at the young age of 15, Cahill has already achieved international superstardom- all from behind a webcam in his childhood bedroom no less. The Elmhusrt Illinois Freshman has achieved worldwide celebrity with a series of hugely entertaining self-produced videos of himself lip-syncing the hottest top 40 hits. He created a YouTube channel for his self-produced videos and saw his popularity skyrocket overnight. And Cahill’s knack for putting his own unforgettably hilarious spin on the radio’s biggest tracks has already won him millions of fans the world over. It was his cover of Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream” that first threw Cahill into the spotlight. Earning millions of views on YouTube and a legion of adoring fans for its lovably goofy take on Perry’s ode to teenage lust, Cahill suddenly found himself in the midst of a whirlwind of media attention. The video found its way to Katy Perry herself and went from 600,000 views to 3-million in the span of a single week . The video has over 36 million views to date. Kristin Lamprecht
Born and raised in Omaha, NE, Kristin discovered her passion for print as a 13-year-old girl, when she received her very first copy of Seventeen magazine. One look at the glossy pages, colorful fonts, clever (and usually cheesy) cover lines, and she was hooked. She followed her love for magazines to the University of Missouri-Columbia, where she was accepted into one of the nation’s top journalism schools. While at Mizzou, Kristin gained experience working at a variety of publications, including the Columbia Missourian newspaper, Vox magazine, and Retail Jeweller in London. Upon graduation, Kristin moved to Chicago to work for luxury-lifestyle magazine publisher Modern Luxury Media, where she worked her way up the ranks in the marketing department for such titles as CS, CS Brides, CS Interiors, and The Men’s Book. After nearly five years there, she decided to return to the editorial side of the magazine world and accepted a position as managing editor Design Bureau, published by ALARM Press. She helped to launch the bi-monthly magazine, which focuses on fostering an “inspiring dialogue on design.” Today, Kristin works with a great staff of designers, editors, and contributors across the world to discover great design and the people who make it happen.
